Chiesi’s corporate volunteering programme places particular emphasis on giving employees the opportunity to volunteer for social causes. This creates positive experiences and offers the opportunity to acquire valuable skills. These activities also strengthen the sense of belonging to the community and the company.
The annual WeACT Day, on which our employees actively support initiatives for a more sustainable future, forms part of this. For example, in 2023, employees of Chiesi Germany “de-scrubbed” an area belonging to the Schnaakenmoor near Hamburg in order to improve its function as a CO2 reservoir. In 2024, the focus was on accessibility wheelchair users, which is why public places were assessed for accessibility in cooperation with Wheelmap.org.
In 2024, the Chiesi Group provided a total of 29.7 million euros for donations and contributions to social causes, including investments in the community.
